(Press Release; WBSC-AMERICAS BASEBALL).- The U12 World Cup Qualifying Tournament will be held in Aguascalientes, Mexico with the participation of nine countries seeking the World Cup dream.
The city of Aguascalientes will host the event that will take place from May 19 to 28, a competition that will award four places for the VII U12 World Cup for the continent.
The nine participating countries in the U12 World Cup include the finalists of the last World Cup, the United States and Venezuela, in addition to host Mexico, as well as the Caribbean powers: the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
The list of participants is completed by another competitive nations such as Cuba and Panama, as well as two countries that are on the rise in sports such as Colombia and Brazil.
The VII U12 World Cup will be held in Tainan, Chinese Taipei from July 28 to August 6 with four of these teams having won their chance to participate in the event.
Venezuela remains the top winner of the Pan American tournaments, followed by Mexico and Cuba, Venezuela reached the final of the last World Cup.
For its part, the United States is the top winner of the World Cup in the category with four of six tournaments reached, including the past one in Chinese Taipei.
The competition will have as protagonists these young players who are beginning to take their steps not only in sports, but also in international qualifying tournaments.
