Venezuela maintained its unbeaten record in the tournament by defeating Japan 7-1, leaving its rival on one hit.
For Venezuela, Ezequiel Zamora stood out, going 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI as a result of a home run. But he also saved the game by throwing 1.1 scoreless innings, striking out two and walking one.
Panama defeated New Zealand 19-0 in four innings, leaving their rivals hitless in four innings.
Panamanian Javier Acevedo stood out, by going 3-for-3 with three runs scored and six RBIs. While Yunieski Sánchez went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and four RBIs.
Mexico also achieved its first win of the tournament by knocking out Australia in five innings 14-0 with seventeen hits.
For Mexico, Xavier Herrera stood out offensively, going 3-for-4 with a run scored and four RBIs. While Joseph Galvan got the win by striking out four and giving up three hits in four innings of work.
Finally, the Dominican Republic handed the United States its first defeat by beating them 13-9.
Gustavo Pimentel stood out for the Dominican Republic, who went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and four RBIs, while Carlos Marrero went 1-for-2 with two runs scored and two walks.
