V Alba Games will have Cuba, Nicaragua and the host Venezuela as protagonists

(Press Release; WBSC-AMERICAS BASEBALL).- The baseball tournament within the V Games of Alba will have four selections and three countries participating for the medals of the event.

The teams of Cuba and Nicaragua will play against the teams of Venezuela A and Venezuela B during five days to determine the honor roll of medals for the event.

The tournament will be held in Venezuela, specifically at the Jorge Luis García Carneiro stadium in Macuto, La Guaira from April 22 to 26, the date on which the baseball tournament will take place.

The calendar is already set and has the opening date on April 22, the day the Cuban team will face Venezuela B, followed by the duel between Nicaragua and the Venezuela A team.

The next day they are reversed, first game being Venezuela B visiting Nicaragua, followed by Venezuela A as a visitor against Cuba. A day later, Nicaragua will face Cuba in the first game and later Venezuela B against Venezuela A.

April 25 is scheduled for rest, but on Wednesday games will be played for third place and for the gold medal in the closing game, with the positions determined by the preliminary round.

The La Guaira stadium in Venezuela already hosted the final of the Women's Pan American in August last year and before a sold out crowd Venezuela won the championship against Puerto Rico in a close final.
