Dominican Republic wins spot in the World Cup; final day of many possibilities

(Press Release; WBSC AMERICAS BASEBALL).- The VI Qualifying Championship ´ñayed in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic a arrives to its last and exciting day.

The Dominican Republic became the first, and so far, only team qualified to the World Cup by overwhelmingly the Bahamas 11 to 3 to maintain its undefeated record and advance to the decisive event.

For the last day of the championship, Venezuela seeks to get into the final for the gold medal against Puerto Rico, Mexico and Panama seek the best position in the group, Nicaragua wants to prevent Cuba from qualifying, while Argentina seeks its first victory against Bahamas and Peru seeks the same against the WBSC team.

The U15 World Cup qualifier tournament in the Dominican Republic reaches its climax on the last day of the Opening Round, prior to the Medal Round scheduled for Thursday.
