Umpires and scorers update their knowledge in WBSC Americas courses

(Press Release; WBSC-AMÉRICAS BASEBALL).- Together with the Curacao Baseball Federation, WBSC Americas held a course for umpires via zoom, which included instructor Miguel Hernández in its face-to-face module.

A total of 16 umpires participated, updating their knowledge for upcoming international events. The professionalization and constant updating of baseball workers in all their areas is one of the goals of this Board of Directors.

WBSC Americas also held a virtual refresher course for scorers that had the participation of 19 people looking to catch up with this professional branch of the sport.

The professionalization of umpires and scorers in baseball is part of what raises the level of competition; they are essential areas that must be on par with what is asked of the sport.

The Board of Directors of WBSC Americas does its part to provide sports workers, in all their areas, with the professional updating courses and programs they need to continue growing in their respective area.
