(Press Release; WBSC AMERICAS BASEBALL).- The
third day of the U15 Pan American Championship took place with six other games
of great baseball for various reasons.
Puerto Rico and the Dominican
Republic took a step forward in their path in the tournament by winning their games
to remain undefeated after their first three days of play.
Puerto Rico beat the WBSC team
11 to 0 without any setbacks early on, maintaining its undefeated record in the
group.
The Dominican Republic did the
same, which in addition to ending the undefeated streak of Mexico, managed to
stay on the path to victory by beating them 8 to 6 in the afternoon.
For their part, Brazil and
Argentina experienced the great South American duel now in baseball, with the
Amazonians gaining the victory by a final score of 12 to 2 in a resounding
manner.
Meanwhile, Nicaragua defeated
another South American team, beating Peru 26-0 while Bahamas got into the fight
for qualification by beating Panama 6-5, which at the same time, complicated
their process in the tournament.
Finally, Venezuela and Cuba
went through a vibrant game in which, with the score 7 to 7 in extra innings,
they had suspend pay due to insufficient natural light.
That game between Venezuela
and Cuba will end on Tuesday, so the possibility of the South Americans
remaining, like the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, undefeated in this
tournament remains in suspense.
