Mexico, the United States and Venezuela among the top five in the official WBSC baseball ranking

(Press Release; WBSC AMERICAS BASEBALL).- Eight of the twelve best teams in the world are from America, as revealed by the most recent official ranking released by the WBSC.

Three of the best teams are also from America: Mexico maintains second place, the United States falls to fourth, but Venezuela displaced Korea among the five best in the world.

The Netherlands appears seventh, the only team among the top twelve that is not from Asia or America, from then on, five teams from the American continent complete the top twelve.

Cuba maintains eighth place, Panama rises to ninth place, Puerto Rico to tenth and Colombia is 11th, while the Dominican Republic falls to twelve place in the ranking.

The U23 World Cup starts this weekend in China and four teams from America seek to continue adding points in their rise in the WBSC world ranking.

For Venezuela, Puerto Rico and Colombia, the opportunity is to continue rising in the general table, while Nicaragua seeks to sneak into the top twelve teams in the world.

The U23 World Cup is, along with the Premier12, the events that add the most points to the WBSC World ranking remaining in the 2024 calendar, so ascending to the best possible position is the challenge.

The Premier12 is scheduled to be held in America and Asia in the month of November to close the year with the great global event that celebrates its third edition under this format.
