México aguerrido, Nicaragua por la mínima y Estados Unidos imbatible

(Press Release; WBSC AMERICAS).- The Super Round of the World Cup U18 Qualifier that takes place in Baja California Sur in Mexico started with three close and emotional duels.

The hosts Mexico completed a spectacular nine-run comeback in the top of the seventh inning to turn the tables on Venezuela and win 13-10.

Mexico benefited from Santiago Contreras' offense he went 2-for-5 with a run scored and three RBIs. Meanwhile, Sergio Gastelum went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and an RBI.

For their part, Nicaragua scored two runs in the first inning and their pitching held up against Puerto Rico for the rest of the game to win 2-1 in their debut in the Super Round.
