US Virgin Islands for the 4th consecutive time in the Caribbean Cup

(Press Release).-  A team that has participated in all previous tournaments and again shows interest in testing the power of its players, that's US Virgin Islands. A group that has a good mixture of talent of college guys that will blend in well with the veterans.

Mr Kwodwo Brannigan, head coach, said in a conversation to COCABE that they expect a very solid defense and to swing the bat well. Pitching will not be that overpowering but will throw a lot of strikes and keep the other teams off balance.

Unfortunately, US Virgin Islands can't count with the top 3 players they have now. Names of pitchers Alex Mcfarlane - Phillies (minors), Jashimo Hanley - Angels (minors) and the free agent MLB Giants Jahtrl Cotton were withdrawn due to different reasons.

Instead, they will gather guys who either play in college in the US or do it overseas, such as Tahj Cunningham (P,OF) in the Berlin Flamingos and Jamori Blash (3rd, 1st) that went through the Nationals minor league system. The objective is to win the Cup and so getting the ticket to the Central American and Caribbean Games.
