(Press Release; WBSC AMERICAS BASEBALL).- The American teams continue their path in the Baseball5 World Cup in Hong Kong, all three advancing to the Super Round of the tournament.

The World and American champion Cuba advanced with a perfect record and will debut on Friday in a duel of titans against Japan, a team they defeated in the final of the first World Cup of the discipline.

For its part, Venezuela surpassed the first phase, losing only to Cuba, so it will debut in the Super Round on Wednesday night against France, both with an identical record of 1-1, they will have a vital duel at the beginning of the next phase in their search for the medals.

For its part, Mexico advances with a 0-2 record, as does Chinese Taipei, its first rival in the Super Round on Wednesday night, so the scenario will be very similar to Venezuela, a victory catapults them to the right path.

Two Asian rivals (Japan and Chinese Taipei), as well as one from Europe (France) are those that America will face in the search for the podium and the Medal Round, in which Cuba, Japan and Chinese Taipei occupied the last World Cup.

The best four of the Super Round will play for the medals, the first two for the gold and the champion trophy and the next for the bronze medal and the place on the tournament podium.
