Cuba announces pre-selection to the 4th Caribbean Baseball Cup

(Press Release).- The Cuban Baseball Federation announced a list of 33 players, from which the final roster of 24 will come, towards their participation in the 4th Caribbean Cup, a tournament in which they debut vs Curacao on Sunday, December 4.

4 catchers, 7 infielders, the same number of outfielders and 15 pitchers appear on the Cuban list, a team that will participate as a guest in the competition hosted by the Bahamas, from December 4 to 11. Cuba already has its ticket for the upcoming Central American and Caribbean Games.

Armando Johnson named manager for the World Classic will be coaching the team, having a new opportunity to test talents who were in the U23 World Cup and others with more experience, who could be called up to that important event.

Precisely, in the last hours, the most followed news on the networks in Cuba, has been the inclusion for the first time in the team, of 2 players belonging to the MLB. The fact has had an impressive repercussion and the possible incorporation of other Big Leaguers to the V World Baseball Classic is expected.
