(Press Release; WBSC-AMERICAS BASEBALL).- The national teams from Canada, Panama, Peru, Honduras and Argentina will play for one spot in the Pan American Games in Chile when the qualifying tournament starts in Argentina in two weeks.

Five teams will be competing for a ticket to the XIX Pan American Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina starting June 16, with their sights firmly set on being in Santiago, Chile.

The action will begin on the 16th with the duels Canada visiting Panama and Peru against the host Argentina, with Honduras resting on the first day of the Qualifying tournament.

In total, ten games of the Opening Round will be played, for five days and without interruption, with two games a day and one of the teams resting each day.

The two best teams in the tournament will advance to the finals to play for the ticket to the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, on June 21 to define the national team participating in the event.

The Ezeiza National Baseball Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, will be the venue in which they will play during this coming week and in which the five teams will seek to be the best in the event.

The event has important teams from all over the American continent and the Caribbean as protagonists, so it is expected to be a close and exciting competition for first place.
